One week in: our first sale, a mascot with no name, and what's growing next
Hi friends, Abby here.
I wanted to sit down and properly update you, because the last week has been a whirlwind and you've been part of all of it.
Grovefolk's Home officially opened its doors, and within days we made our very first sale. I can't tell you what that felt like. This little shop went from an idea in my head to a real place where real people buy real things. Thank you to whoever you are — your order is on its way, and I hope you love it.
Since then we've been growing fast. The Herbanium is here: twelve plants, one for each birth month, each paired with its Latin name and a little note on its old folk uses, printed on tees you can actually wear. Find the plant that grew you.
We also welcomed our mushroom keeper mascot. He still needs a name, by the way — drop your ideas, cutest one wins. We launched the Mushroom Keeper collection of bento boxes, started a rewards program so every order earns points toward $5 off (refer a friend and you both get $5), and gave the shop itself some love behind the scenes: easier checkout, clearer policies, all the unglamorous stuff that makes shopping feel good.
So what's next? A Halloween drop with a dark cottagecore twist — think thorns and black roses. A 24-week planner journal for gentle planning. And a vintage field-notes sticker set, nine little specimens for your own journals. There's a lot growing in the grove.
My goal is 5 sales a week, and we're just getting started. If you've been thinking about it, now's a lovely time to wander in — and code grove10 takes 10% off your first order.
with gratitude,
Abby
