You know birthstones. You probably know birth flowers. But we have always loved the quieter plants — the ones that grow in the shade, under the trees, where nobody is watching.
So we made the Herbanium: twelve botanical designs, one for every birth month, drawn like pages from an old field guide, each with its Latin name, how to say it, and a little definition underneath. Find your month. That is your plant.
January — Lichen (Cladonia)
Grows on stone and bark through the coldest months, patient as winter itself. For the ones who endure, and bloom slowly.
February — Moss (Bryophyta)
Soft, green, and unbothered. Moss makes a home anywhere and asks for almost nothing.
March — Wild Violet (Viola)
The first shy color of spring, hiding under leaves bigger than itself.
April — Trillium
Three petals, three leaves, and a long slow wait. Trillium can take years to bloom, and it is worth every one.
May — Bluebell (Hyacinthoides)
When bluebells ring in, whole woodlands turn blue. May babies get the fairy flower.
June — Lavender (Lavandula)
Calm in plant form. For the ones who make every room softer just by being in it.
July — Chamomile (Matricaria)
Sunshine you can steep. Small white flowers, big deep breaths.
August — Bramble (Rubus)
Wild, thorny, and generous. Blackberries for anyone brave enough to reach in.
September — Acorn (Quercus)
The whole oak, folded into something that fits in a pocket. Big futures, small beginnings.
October — Mushroom (Agaricus)
Our favorite, naturally. The keeper of the forest floor, fruiting in the dark and the damp. October is our mascot's month, too.
November — Fern (Filix)
Older than trees, unfurling one frond at a time. For the quiet, steady growers.
December — Ivy (Hedera)
Evergreen when everything else lets go. Ivy holds on, and so do December hearts.
Every design is printed on a soft unisex tee, with the big Herbanium wreath on the back. They make a birthday gift that is actually personal — find your person's month, and you have found their plant.
